"A Touch of Love"

She touched lives of many whom she loved so much,
And was loved in return by all that she touched.
She sprinkled her own"Touch of Love"near and far;
Those dusted claimed her as their personal star.

She lost her father Clarence some time ago;
Most of her family is surviving her though:
Her husband, dear Jerry, in this world, he's the best.
She passed as she wished; in his arms she was pressed.

She had a son, Ronald Morey, and two daughters as well;
Cindy Jo (with Patrick) Burns, Barbara Lynn (Doug) Hanel,
Plus her Mom, Delia Blakely, loved as any could be.
Connie lived for her family; that was easy to see.

Two brothers, one sister, lots of love Connie had.
Frederick (with Emra), Herbert (and Karen), not bad!
Plus Carol (and Terry), three best siblings in the land.
They brought nephews and nieces, to add to the clan.

We mustn't forget her grandkids, four; they made Connie shout,
"These are my prizes. They're grandchildren to tout!
Here's Hillary and Duffy Hanel, Jonathan, Jacob, the Moreys."
For Grandma and Grandpa, they had plenty of stories!

This was her family, they made Connie proud
To be surrounded by love. What a wonderful crowd!
But that wasn't all, there were other folks too:
Friends from her church, and Lions clubs too.

Her Lioness friends, her kids in All State Bands,
Her Paws With A Cause, and for more she had hands.
Where she worked and she lived, and others she knew.
The lives that she touched were not just a few!

Connie's now gone to her heavenly rest.
Angels now claim her, so they're truly blessed.
She's paved the highway to Home since her birth
By loving (like angels) while living on Earth.

We know of the way she touched us with love.
We know that her strength was from Him up above.
His Touch of Love is now hers to dispense
To all whom should need it, forever hence

She has given us love for fifty-three years ---
Not nearly enough, but let's hold our tears.
We know that she's now looking down from above
And she will keep touching us all with her love.
